Wye Manor

A beautifully proportioned period house with an enviable view stretching right out over the majestic river Wye.

This glorious kitchen space, with its inclusive dining area, was a joy to work with. Blessed with lofty high ceilings and big windows the natural light just pours in and lights up the room magnificently.  This customer wanted an elegant and sociable space to cook and entertain in, with plenty of storage and prep areas close at hand. The colour choice for the main cabinetry is both cool, neutral and seems to gently sink back into the walls, whilst the island was offset in a lush and sumptuous velvety green. A dash of warmth from the honey toned wooden floor gives an added cosiness to the room

Note how the wall cabinets sit directly on the worktops, giving a sense of an original, unfitted period piece. This particular kitchen style offers a more traditional feel as it sensitively echoes the properties architectural features and era creating a very harmonious space.

Style board: The main run of cabinetry is painted in Little Greeneā€™s Portland Stone, a soft grey. The Island is painted in Olive Colour, also Little Greene. The worktops are a granite called Ivory Fantasy.
