Mayfield House

Originally the stables to the main house and with a bit of imagination and architectural know how it has been transformed into a spacious and stylish modern home.

The brief given by the owner was to create a robust family kitchen, with plenty of room to cook, eat and run around in. Practical layout and simple design were at the heart of this project with a special request for enough space to include several workstations. The generous island provides not only a place to perch and chat but also and area for prepping and serving up food. The solid maple worktop is not just beautiful but it’s a durable and tactile surface to sit at.

It doesn’t take much imagination to envisage the hustle and bustle of family life at a mealtime enjoying this space to its fullest.

Style Board: The Island is painted in Little Greene’s Lamp Black and has a maple wood worktop. The other cabinets are Little Greene’s Inox with worktops in a Quartz called Cimstone. This beautiful and contrasting colour palette is offset by the handles which are finished in an antiqued brass with sockets to match.
