Knapton Grange

Peacefully tucked away at the end of an old drovers’ road lies a property that had not seen any updating for many years. The kitchen was up for a complete renovation, an exciting project with many major changes both structural and cosmetic.

Removing the old lathe and plaster wall panels behind the sink really opened up the dining area making it more inclusive, cosy and within shouting distance of the kitchen. At the same time the island offers an alternative seating area for more intimate chats and casual meals. The fabulously generous larder cabinet looks calm and serene on the surface, but inside it offers cleverly designed and copious storage for all sorts and amounts of goodies. We adore the worktops, an elegant quartzite with beautiful veining/feathering, sitting so perfectly on the cabinetry.

This is a classic H&P kitchen, with just the right balance of fitted and freestanding cupboards that make it look so inviting, a space that you want to enjoy rather than leave once the work is done.

Style Board: The Island is painted in Little Greene’s Dock Blue whilst the rest of the cabinetry is painted in Paint and Paper Library’s Light Sand III. The worktops are a quartzite called Macaubus.
